“As a mum of a child with additional needs, I have lived the challenges and had to navigate the diagnosis process myself. I can still remember just how lonely and overwhelming that journey was and wish something like (these groups) was around during the process of my child's diagnosis. To this day I firmly believe that there really aren't enough support groups available out there for parents going through the same journey and processes I did. Establishing and building these networks as a family as well with others going through the same or somewhat similar situation would be so beneficial to both the parents and children involved. A place where you can learn, grow, share challenges and celebrate small wins together would achieve a greater understanding, involvement and connection for all within the process. This tied in with establishing connections with local therapists could promote greater insight and navigation to this currently difficult journey.” - Steph

We see you and we want to support you.

These groups are running in partnership with Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) and thanks to Yarra Ranges Council funding as well.

The Parents Hub is a firm believer that the support and resources that Uniting can provide are aligned with our mission to support parents in the early years and we are grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
